Did you know that you can find wild-growing orchids in Europe? They are not as large or as beautiful as the tropic flowers that gave rise to a huge industry, but they’re still a pleasure to find.
Botanists found over 70 orchid species in Slovenia. You’ll find all of them in the wonderful book Orhideje Slovenije (unfortunately only in Slovenian language); so far we managed to find these:
